| time ago about pumps being rigged to pump the gas fractionally slower than they should for their corresponding price. Only reason I mention it is because I just found the only station I that sells 93 on my side of OKC (but friggin full service, didnt even know those stations existed anymore) and while talking to the owner for a few minutes he told me it was really difficult for him to even buy 93 octane anymore. He had to get it from 5 or 6 times further away than prior to katrina. And they always try to make him buy more than he has capacity for. He says the only reason he does it is because he knows no one else in town will buy it and there are several customers who need it for their cars. Nice old guy, goin out of his way for his customers. But I wouldnt be surprised if some lesser scrupulous station owners try to use it as an opportunity to take advantage of people who they dont think will ever know the difference. If you are really concerned that it is happening in your case and want to find out for sure, why not call the local TV station and talk their news editor about it? Local TV is no different from national media, they are always lookin to bust somebody for something. You can get your peace of mind and they will likely do all the legwork.
